FAQs

How many tracks can it store?

The device comes with a 16GB micro SD card, so you’ve got plenty of space!

As an example: a typical 3-minute song in WAV format is about 30 MB, so that's enough for approximately 400 songs. That would be one hell of a gig!

The card is removable, so you can swap in your own SD cards too.

What is the size and weight?

What file formats are supported?

Standard 44.1kHz, 16-bit WAV audio files for professional sound quality.

How does my drummer get the click? Can I use in-ears?

Yes. Stereo track goes out to the PA or mixer. The click has its own mono output, so it goes to your in-ears or your drummer.

If your in-ear system is mono only, a small belt pack that sums mono to stereo puts the click in both ears with its own volume control.

Can I organise my songs into setlists?

Yes. Make a folder for each set, drop your tracks inside, and switch between them from the menu. Festival set, acoustic night, support slot, all on one device, ready to go.

Can I run my whole set hands-free?

If you want, of course! Turn on Autoplay and Autonext together and each song loads itself, ready to start on your cue. No reaching for the side of the stage between tracks. Pause or skip whenever you like.

How do I use the metronome (click track)?

The built-in metronome generates a click in sync with your tracks. Just add the BPM to the filename (e.g. "mySong_120bpm.wav") and the device takes care of the rest.

You can adjust the click to suit you. Set the volume, tone and decay for the strong and weak beats, and hear it live through the click output as you tweak, before you save.

Need more than one tempo, or cues in your ears? You can load your own click track as a WAV. See the next question.

Can I change tempo or time signature during a song?

Yes. Bring your own click track. Export the click from your session as a mono WAV, name it like the song with _clk on the end, and drop it next to the song. Tempo changes, count-ins, spoken cues, whatever you built. The screen shows WAV click when it's picked one up.

Songs at one tempo can just use the built-in metronome: put the BPM in the filename.

Which time signatures (meters) are supported?

A huge range, from simple counts like 3/4 and 4/4, to more complex ones like 5/4, 7/8 and 12/8. We've tested all the time signatures in between.

The device always defaults to 4/4, so you only need to specify time signature (meter) if you're using something other than 4/4.
